Songs used in this week's podcast are from
Arashi's Troublemaker single.

When I first saw Arashi's A Day in Our Life PV made me LOL ... a lot. Seeing Arashi try to look "gangsta" was very LOL and fail, in my opinion.

Re-watching the the video again gave me a chance to kind of enjoy it. I mean, yeah it does look kind of cool and all hip hop moves, the dramatic black-and-white coloring, which I love, and the weird psychodelic background and effects, which I find annoying.

In all honesty, I was surprised to even see the rest of Arashi in this PV "singing"(other than Sho & Ohno) since I can't hear any of the others in this song.

Costumes: yes, they are dressed up to match the hip-hop nature of the song. Aiba in his beanie hat is love. Nino's big black jacket and backwards baseball cap just looks bad (it's tacky and doesn't suit him). Here we see Ohno's nostalgic organey-bleached hair. Chibi Jun looks so pretty (yes, that's not a costume, but I had to comment). Sho is the only one who looks like he fits the "hip-hop" look and moves.

As for the song, I know it's a big favorite for Arashi concert performances -- they always do it. Mostly because they get the audience to interact with the song and chant.

Honestly, the song used to annoy me A LOT. One of my least favorite Arashi songs... and then, I saw Kisarazu Cat's Eye the movie, and saw this song being played at the ending credits, with the cast acting silly and dancing to it... and the song went from being annoying to actually being FUN. So now I like this song, and sometimes I just have to hear it, when I'm in the mood. I tried to sing to this song at Karaoke once(since I know the first part), but I failed. ORZ LOL

Anyway, yay arashi, for attempting Hip Hop (PV and song)!
