*laugh* I was the one in the Ningen Shikkaku thread getting all confused over whether the story was anything like KinKi's drama or not. Apparently not! But the part about KinKi kissing is all trufax, though xDDD

Haha, glad you liked the email ;p It was a great moment ^^
Don't fight over rights to it~!

I'm really excited for the Toma movie.
And Gokusen Movie too... Is it just me, or does Kame in Mr Brain look just like his Jin-hitting-on doctor character in that skit? I can't even remember what the skit was, but I saw it on youtube a while ago so yeah xDD

SHO!!!!!! *flail* what's not to like about Sho? He's hot, he's smart, he sets a brilliant example for his kouhais, encouraging them to further their education after high school, which is absolutely amazing. He's just the right mixture of baka and intelligent, and he could give Ohno a run for his money with his awesome drawing skills! XD Totoro remains my personal favourite. lol He would also be a brilliant dad- when he's looking after children on Mago Mago, I unvoluntarily squeal through the whole thing! Yeah... Sho is awesome!

I recently got into the Arashi fandom even though I got "Jun baited" into JE.

I can't really say much on Sho, only because I've only heard him sing. I think his voice blends in nicely with the rest of the group, and I think it's nice that his raps are more toned down in comparison to Koki's. I haven't seen him act, so I can't say anything on that, but seeing him as himself on Vs. Arashi and Arashi no Shukudai-kun, I feel like he has a slightly bubbly personality. I am reminded of a clip I saw recently where Sho was hypnotized into doing a "back flip" and epically failing. <3

And then there's his picture in the Arashi calender. Stripper!Sho makes me happy to be born in August.

OMG! YAY!! SHO!!! I've been WAITING for an Arashi boy! I'm Particularly excited that Sho got chosen. He's my little 10 year old sister's favorite JE boy, even though she doesn't actually listen to Arashi or Japanese music at all period. But she loves Sho and we even have him as our desktop on our shared computer. I'm gonna ask her to leave a response just cause she likes him. Is that allowed? Anyway here she is:
He has a cute smile .I saw him in (mp11- I had to tell her) the we can make it music video. he was really cute. I liked him in honey and clover. his rapping is really cool.

Okay I'm back. Its not my sister anymore, but yeah, I can get some impressive flailing from her over Sho. She actually Squealed OMG ITS SHO!! at the honey and clover andvertisement I showed her. I didn't even have to tell her who it was.

But anyway, I love Sho too. He's my second favorite member of Arashi, and definately in my top ten JE boy list. His rapping is very happy most of the time which I really like. very different from from most that I had heard before, so it really stood out, to me. I first started noticing him in the We can Make PV as well, mostly because that was the FIRST time I ever saw him.(I randomly download the song and really liked it and so looked it up) but hewaas ADORABLE in there. I specifically went out and bought honey and clover on DVD because he was in it, but I did the same thing with Letters too, so it doesn't really say much. Sho is so Fail and yet smart yet dorky yet somehow cool, all at the same time. He's just awesome like that I guess. He is absolutely adorable when he speaks english like on the Quiz Show, and I get SO happy whenever I hear him speak it. Plus It's pretty cool that he graduated from Keio too. I was kind of suprised when I heard about that, being new to Arashi at the Time, but I think it made me love him all the more. I could keep going on and on about Sho but I think that I'll Stop here so by.

Hello, my name is Brittany and im a new listener to JEP Cast and i am soooooo happy to have accidently found you guys. Now i can finally get up-to-date info on Arashi and i won't be left out of the loop anymore. This makes me even more happy that you guys make this podcast because no one else i know even listens to anything Japanese or Korean, so im pretty much on my own. Whenever i start talking about Arashi or SS501 my friends patiently listen to me and smile though im pretty sure they think im crazy.

I am a HUGE Arashi fan ever since watching Hana Yori Dango, which I also accidently stumbled across while trying to find out what happens next in the manga. So i got into Arashi that way, but after Hana Yori Dango kinda forgot about them, because i really couldn't find anything new on them. then i watched Uta no Onii-san and loved the show and music without even realizing that it was Ohno until Sho came on the show and Ohno was saying how people say he looks like leader, LOL. and then i watched Maou. So that was also an accident how i rediscovered Arashi. i keep accidently finding them again, its funny. So now I am fully back into Arashi again

I love Sho, I think his drama The Quiz Show is totally awesome and his acting skills are amazing. His character is so four dimensional and he pulls it off so well. I love how he's able to jump from one personality to another in a second. and each personality is different, you can clearly see the difference when he's acting. he's just everywhere in this drama, and i think that's what makes it so great. he's awesome. Sho is also like super cute, and he's a really good rapper. He's the best one (though ive only heard Koki and Sho rap. Sho is way better) when he raps it's like second nature to him which is why it sounds so good when he raps, it doesn't wound weird at all. He's even better than our American rappers. I definetly like Sho's rapping and Arashi's music better than the music we have here in America. Also i think he would make a really good boyfriend. He seems like the really good boyfriend type and dad type. I saw him in this one epidoe of Mago Mago where he was singing to this one little kid and rubbing his head and the little kid fell asleep. It was the cutest thing ever, i was all like awwwwwwwww, kawaii. Anywho, i think ive rambled enough, im going to end it here. Thank you guys for making this podcast, now i can stay up to date with Arashi. :)

*bashes head into wall* I'm so sorry for my awkward sentence wording ;____;

I was excited to find a JE podcast a couple weeks ago and have now listened to several of them. They make me smile first thing in the morning on the train, so thank you very much! So, guess what? I'm a Johnnys FANBOY listening to your show! Yep, major major fanboy. I'm not talking was-forced to-watch-Hanadan-and-bought-an-Arashi-album-fanboy, I'm talking owns-obscure-vintage-Four-Leaves-records-fanboy :P I have boxes of CDs still sealed with their OBIs, magazines, DVDs, uchiwas, penlights. Ugh. They own me.
I experience a pretty isolated, purely internet-based kind of fandom, because I don't actually know anyone else who loves Johnnys and I don't really interact with other fans online because I figure theyre all gonna be squealing 13 year old girls, and TBH it's what I expected hear from your podcast. I was wrong. You're wonderful, so thanks ^^
So, a couple pointless comments for you regarding the show. (Forgive me for not remembering your names)
1. I wish the one girl didn't sound like she was on the phone. There must be a better set-up for what your doing (Let you know when I think of it :P)
2. Occasionally when listening my brain goes on a two second delay while I figure exactly what show or drama you're referring to, based on the fact that I usually only know the bad pronounciation of their titles in my head.
3. Why do you never mention any of the magazines like Myojo, etc? You may have done so many times in the past, and I wouldn't know, so sorry if the answer to that is obvious...
4. Why do you include so little actual music? Is it just an "oh, no johnny'll get us" kind-of-thing?
5. Do you all speak Japanese? Are you all asian? I'm a WHITE, NON-JAPANESE SPEAKING Johnnys fanboy, btw.. (and yeah completely gay, you can stop wondering)
6. Here's a complaint. Forgive me, I love the show...Maybe a visual game with you guessing who's in a photo is not IDEAL for an audio podcast :P You COULD do an ENHANCED podcast and time the actual photos to show up and the screen as youre discussing them.
7. My favourite group is Arashi, and I love Nino the most :) I think I'd fly to Japan to see them in concert if i didn't think I'd be the only guy there :P
Hmmm ok I should shut up now. Keep up the great work ladies (^__^)

05 21 09 (UTC)
Oh and in regard to Sakurai Sho... I love him, he's wonderful, but I secretly wish every song didn't require the obligatory Sho rap. Frankly he's particularly amazing at it. Have I sinned? Has this angered people? :P
05 21 09 (UTC)
ermmm that shoulda said NOT particularly amazing.
05 27 09 (UTC)
Fanboys are amazing.
They are rare forms in the JE fandom which makes you specially awesome for even knowing what JE is.
And when you said that no boys would go to an Arashi concert that just reminded me of at Kat-tun's QOP tour and they're like "There are a lot of guys too. They stand out." Lmao.

05 21 09 (UTC)
Finally! An Arashi guy!! :P Been waiting for those.

Okay, in the beginning, I HATED Sho Sakurai (fangirls, don't lynch me!! *ducks*). Yes, I love Arashi, and it was nothing against him personally... okay, so it was against him personally. I hated how he was so smart and got to go to an awesome school like Keio. I hated how he's so good looking. I hated how he can sing, dance, and act for a living. Finally, I hated how he could touch Aiba on a regular basis, if he chose to (yes, I'm talking about Sakuraiba, but anyway). I admit, I was SO jealous of Sho Sakurai. BUT!! His good looks won me over. And his hard work and dedication which I begrudgingly admired turned into full-on admiration. In fact, for a scholarship essay, I wrote about how the most influential person in my life was Sho, because he inspired me to be better, smarter, and more hard working. Well, I didn't get the scholarship, but i meant every word I said. :)

I should also mention Sho's stripper picture is my most favorite one in the Arashi 2009 calendar. ;) (don't worry, I didn't write that in the essay).
05 22 09 (UTC) - Sho Sakurai
It may be thought that Sho grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth but that isn't true. He is a great example of someone who faced adversity and overcame it. Choosing entertainment probably wasn't his parents' dream for him, considering who is father is but what Sho has accomplished is pretty amazing. He didn't have to use his father to gain fame like people in American Showbiz but he worked hard to get where he is today, just like any other Johnny. He has direction, determination, and follows through, along with creativity, making him successful. What I admire about him is that he has humility and doesn't think himself better than other members of Arashi. (Each of them being very talented in their own way.)

We all knew early on that Sho was destined to do great things, whether it be entertainment or not. Sho may be a hot commodity in Japanese Entertainment right now and I believe that he has staying power. So I'm excited to see where he's headed.
05 23 09 (UTC)
LOL wow all these comments about Sho are amazing. everything about Sho has basically been covered by everybodys comments here so i will try not to repeat anything.

He is good-looking, very smart and dedicated to his work and has the cutest laugh i have ever heard before. he must have found a way to stop time because i have no idea how he gets all of his work done and still finds time to sleep. i think Sho has grown the most since arashi debuted in terms of his singing voice, acting skills and overall looks. when i was first getting into arashi and i saw that Sho was the rapper of the group i completely pictured him like Koki and boy was i proven wrong. I thought Sho was going to be very serious being Mr. intellectual but after watching arashi's programs i was greatly surprised at how dorky he was. I also love that Sho made sure to make time for his education. The other arashi members don't have the equivalent to Sho's education especially Ohno who dropped out of high school after only 3 days XDDDD Sho motivates me to further my education as well and i really love his down to earth attitude. in short, Sakurai Sho is the ideal definition of an "Idol"
